Day 7 writing prompt

Madelyn Perkovich

Today, movies about the future include high technology, flying cars, and other obvious futuristic things. obviously, there is no certain way to tell what the future will be like. Who knows, Yellowstone could erupt tomorrow and there would be no future, or we'd have to start all over. For me, I believe the future will consist of higher technology and new understanding of what we already know. For example, I think in the far future we will have a hologram that can give us detailed updates on our body/health at any time. I also think this could potentially lead to fewer illnesses and maybe a larger population unless the governments regulate the number of kids a couple can have.I also believe that cars will all run on batteries, or maybe even fly. People will probably be more ethnically diverse, and potentially smarter. I think the education system may be different as well, because we might possibly be able to chip ourselves with certain information instead of sitting in a class everyday. But, to be extreme, we may have done enough damage to our planet by then that we need to figure out how to live on a different one (possibly Mars), and who knows, maybe space travel will be so advanced by then that people will be able to take trips and tours to mars just for fun whenever they want. I feel like a type of hologram technology will eventually replace cell phones and make them obsolete. But then again, I don't really know what i'm talking about because I will never live to see any of these things anyway. My main and only wish for the future is world peace.

Day 6 news response

Madelyn P. The discovery of the Jebel Irhoud fossils raise a question that everything we thought we knew is false. How old is the homosapien species? older than we originally thought. New fossils were discovered in Africa in 1961 that dated back about 350,000 years ago. This raises a lot of speculation about the features we were formed from. The jaw was larger, and the skull was more elongated. Summing this up quickly, we have discovered new evidence about how far we as a species date back, and valuable traits have been discovered about our origins and how we lived, before we were "modern" humans.

Day 10 writing prompt (switched with 8)

Madelyn Perkovich In my opinion, people take risks for the sake of adventure because they are bored and want the rush. People who do these things aren't necessarily reckless, though they can be. People such as Alex Hannold that do incredibly risky things know the risk factor of what they are doing, yet continue to go farther and farther anyway. Adrenaline is one of the most intense feelings humans can feel, and it goes without saying people seek it out for that reason. People will do the craziest things to seek out a rush. Personally, I think it stems from wanting more out of life, more feeling. it takes determination and bravery to be persistent and seek out the dangerous things in life. Adrenaline rushes and adventure in my own opinion are two of the most amazing things humans can grasp and experience. Once someone feels this kind of "high: it can become addicting, almost like a drug. There aren't many things people wouldn't do to get more out of life. Even those o...

news response day 12

Madelyn Perkovich A 3,000 year old wooden big toe was found attached to a woman's skeleton, and is said to be an advanced prosthetic. For this period of time, Prosthetics were rare and not very functional, so this find was a cool find. It belonged to a priests daughter who had her big toe amputated. It was shaped and detailed by a skilled Artisian during the bronze era, and holds a lot of clues as to what may have been taking off and advancing in Medicine 3,000 years ago.
